History of Hanse Yachts

Some HANSE Yacht Owner's Manuals PDF above the page.

Against the background of the heroic history of its main competitors, Hanse Yachts yacht shipyard seems like a very young enterprise.

German professional yachtsman Michael Schmidt created it in Greifswald shortly after the reunification of Germany.

At first, he was simply engaged in repairing yachts, but in 1993 he ventured to introduce his first Hanse 291 model in Dusseldorf.

In fact, under this name was the Swedish yacht Aphrodite 291, whose matrices were bought and transported to Greifswald.

The shipyard has long been building yachts according to original designs from the world-famous design bureau with sports orientation - Judel / Vrolijk & Co, and the office shelves are laden with awards.

Today Hanse Yachts is the second largest yacht manufacturer in the world. The main production facilities are located in the Baltic, in the town of Greiswald.

The company also owns an assembly plant in the Polish town of Goleniow in the west of the country.
